As general manager, Gellel will be responsible for Kastle Systems’ operations and growth across Australia and New Zealand.
FALLS CHURCH, VA (December 5, 2016) – Kastle Systems, the industry leader in advanced managed security systems and services, announced today that they have appointed John Gellel as General Manager of their Australian region. Kastle’s Australian region consists of local offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth as well as New Zealand. With a history of over 31 years in the Australian market, Kastle Systems protects sites for leaders in commercial real estate, prominent financial services clients and marquee retail brands across Australia.
Prior to joining Kastle Systems, Gellel spent 15 years with Honeywell Ltd across multiple business units: Ademco, ADI, Honeywell Security Group (HSG) and Honeywell Security & Fire where he held various roles in sales, marketing, operations and management; most of his time spent as General Manager HSG/ADI across Australia and New Zealand.
John has extensive experience in the electronic security market and regularly spends time with companies to understand market trends and challenges. He has both sales and technical knowledge of electronic security sub-categories including Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Home Solutions and Fire. John takes an active interest in researching and staying abreast of global emerging trends and technologies in the electronic security industry. He held a Board of Director role for the Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL) from 2014 to 2016 and is an active member of the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) since 2008.
John has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Australian Catholic University (ACU), an Advanced Diploma of Management from the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) and is Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
